TRAVEL GRANTS FOR UCLA GRADUATE STUDENTS
The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer Studies Program is pleased to be able to offer assistance with travel expenses to UCLA graduate students presenting LGBTQ-related work at a conference. The purpose of this program is to support LGBTQ scholarship at UCLA and to make it possible for graduate students to make their research known to audiences beyond our campus.
Please follow the instructions below in submitting an application. Applications will be reviewed by a faculty committee once a year for merit, relevance to LGBTQ Studies, and the student’s academic achievement and progress toward degree. Successful awards are generally no more than $350, depending on the number of applications awarded during the year. Preference is given to first time applicants. Funds may be used to defray costs associated with travel and conference registration, but NOT for meal expenses and accommodations.
Applicants must be graduate students who are registered at UCLA during the quarter in which the travel occurs. If travel occurs during the summer, students must be registered the following fall.
